75,000 assembling at Tundikhel to chant ‘Buddha was born in Nepal’

Around 75, 000 people are assembling at Tundikhel coming Sunday to recite, “Buddha was born in Nepal”.

World Record Holders’ Council Nepal which is organizing the event shared this information at a press meet here today. The event will be a historic one in terms of the biggest number of people coming together to recite that “Buddha was born in Nepal” message simultaneously, Council Vice Chair Akkal Bahadur Tamang said.

The programme will commence with the slogan of “Lumbini is the birth place of Gautam Buddha and the place of the origin of Buddhism”.

People taking part in the programme shall enter Tundikhel from 11 am to 14:00 pm. The recitation shall go for around 10 minutes.

Reorganisation from the Guinness Book of World Records will be sought for the event aimed at sending vibrant message- “Buddha was born in Nepal”.

As many as 75 thousand pass have been already distributed and it must be shown to enter Tundikhel for participating in the progamme.

National level artists are scheduled to make their performance. Some 3,000 volunteers and 1,500 security persons shall be mobilized to manage the event.
