Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane bought by Delhi Daredevils for 20 lakhs, 1st Nepali in IPL

17 year old Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been bought by Delhi Daredevils in the IPL auction.

He will be the first Nepali player to be playing in the Vivo IPL. Delhi Daredevils paid INR 20 lakhs for him to be included in their squad.

The leg-spinner rose to prominence with a successful performance at the 2016 U-19 World Cup where he guided Nepal to the eighth place.

In the same tournament against a match in Ireland Lamichhane took hat-trick. the fifth bowler in under 19 world cup history to do so.

In September 2016 Lamichhane had gone to Sydney to play in the Western Suburbs District Cricket Club upon invitation of Michael Clarke, former captain to the Australian Cricket team.
