AECA Networking Night Connects Agents

Sydney, Australia – July 11, 2025: The Australian Education & Career Agents Association (AECA) successfully hosted its Professional Development Workshop and Networking Night Vol. 2 on Friday at the Rydges World Square Hotel in Sydney. The high-profile event brought together stakeholders from Australia’s international education and migration sectors for a full day of dialogue, learning, and professional engagement.

A notable presence at the event was that of Nepali education and migration agents, who continue to play a growing role in Australia’s international student market.

Though an official registry does not exist, estimates suggest that over 200 Nepali-run education and migration consultancies are currently operating in Australia.

Organized under the dynamic leadership of AECA President Komal Raj Pathak, a respected figure in the diaspora community, the event emphasized ethical practices, industry development, and collaborative policymaking. The workshop featured expert-led sessions on key sectoral challenges, followed by an evening networking reception that allowed agents and professionals to build valuable connections.

Nepali representatives attending the event expressed optimism about the opportunities such platforms create for agents to stay updated with Australia’s evolving regulatory landscape. With increasing scrutiny and policy shifts affecting international education and migration, such professional gatherings are seen as critical in upholding quality and compliance.

AECA’s continued efforts in uniting agents under a shared vision of integrity and professionalism were praised by participants, with many describing the event as a “milestone” for the community.

For updates and future event announcements, interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to follow AECA through its website and social media channels.
