Craigieburn Library in Melbourne added section for Nepali books

After the Coburg Library and Glenroy Library, Craigieburn Library has also added a Nepali junior library section with a collection of Nepali books for children in Melbourne.

Craigieburn Library in collaboration with Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria, Northern Community Legal Center and Craigieburn Nepalese Community Victoria established the Nepali junior library section yesterday. The library section contains books on Nepali stories, poems and other articles.

President of Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria, Jamuna Parajuli, briefly described about the participation of women and Didi Bahini Samaj in establishing the Nepali junior library section at a program that also saw a welcome dance performance by the juniors of Craigieburn Nepali Community.

NRNA Vice President and Victoria State Coordinator Prem Kandel expressed his thanks towards the Didi Bahini Samaj and the Northern Community Legal Center for doing such a remarkable job. Madhav Poudel, president of Craigieburn Nepali Samaj, said he was happy to do such constructive works and he would continue these kinds of works in coming days.

Community Development Manager at the Northern Community Legal Center, Taniya Mackenzie expressed her happiness for being able to contribute to the society with the help of Didi Bahini Samaj.

Similarly, Basudev Marhatta, on behalf of the Craigieburn Nepali Society, distributed letters of appreciation to the working committee members of Craigieburn Nepali Society on the occasion.

The event was inaugurated by the students of Craigieburn Nepali School and the new section of the library has more than 100 books in Nepali language.
