Foreign Ministers of Nepal and Australia exchange felicitations to mark 60th Establishment Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and his Australian counterpart, Her Excellency Senator Hon Marise Payne, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, exchanged messages of felicitations and expressed their happiness on the excellent state of bilateral relations on the occasion of the 60th establishment anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Australia,

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both the Foreign Ministers expressed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries as well as their people based on mutual trust, understanding and cooperation.

Nepal and Australia established diplomatic relations on 15 February 1960. Over the past 60 years, the two nations have stood by each other during difficult times such as the 2015 Earthquake of Nepal and the recent bushfires in Australia – both times extending their support to the other.
