Melbourne International Dumpling Festival, a grand celebration of the flavory and tasty dish has concluded – and with great success.
The festival which took place on Monday was witness to over 50,000 visitors, organizer Solangture claimed and was motivated after witnessing the success of Melbourne’s Momo Fest.
According to Raju Shakya, director at Solangture, more than 50,000 people had participated in the festival. The festival was conducted at Queen Victoria Market and lasted until 10 O’ clock at night starting from 12 in the afternoon on Monday. There were 32 stalls of different categories presented in the festival, and primarily offered visitors different flavours of the exquisite dish.
International food items like Tibetan dumpling, Nepali Mo Mo, Indian Samosa, Chinese dumpling, Japanese Gozo were presented in the festival.
As the number of visitors was quite higher than expected in their launch year, the organizer had extended their festival, including international foods with the aim of bringing diversity in food from around the world, Shakya said.
