The Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs and the Federal member for Banks, David Coleman, has said Morrison government if re-elected will provide $1 million to the Nepalese Australian Association to build a community centre in New South Wales.

The announcement was made by Coleman at the Regional Oceania conference of Non-Resident Nepali Association yesterday, on 11 May.

Coleman addressing the conference said, “The Nepalese community is one of the fastest growing communities in Australia, and the new centre will provide a central meeting point for the more than 36,000 people in NSW with Nepalese ancestry.”

“This funding demonstrates the Morrison Government’s commitment to supporting multicultural communities and creating a stronger Australia”, said Coleman.

If built, the community centre will be central meeting place for the Nepalese community in Sydney.
