Mt Moriac crash: Five Chinese nationals hospitalised

Four adults and a child have been conveyed to hospital following a crash at Mt Moriac earlier this morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Cape Otway Road and the Princes Highway just after 9am.

Witnesses have told police that a red Toyota hatch was travelling north on the Cape Otway Road and a Kenworth prime mover and semi-trailer was travelling west on the Princes Highway prior to the crash happening at the intersection.

Five occupants in the Toyota, all Chinese Nationals were conveyed to hospital, one man, believed to be the driver has life threatening injuries.

The ages of the occupants are:

– 60-year-old female

– 58-year-old male (driver)

– 34-year-old female

– 35-year-old male

– 6-year-old child

The driver of the truck was not injured.
