Nepal Festival Will be Held in Melbourne on Saturday


Melbourne, Australia – Nepal Festival will be held in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday with the aim of promoting Nepali art and culture. Nepal Festival is held every 2 years under the organization of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). But due to the covid infection, the previous Nepal festival could not be held.
NRNA Victoria Coordinator Hari Khadka has informed that all the projects of the Nepal Festival to be held in Melbourne’s Federation Square have been completed. NRNA has requested all Nepalis to participate in the Nepal Festival, which is celebrated as a festival to introduce Nepal in Australia.
Hon. Consulate General Mr. Chandra Yonzon said that the Nepal Festival will promote Nepal’s language, culture and art in Australia as well as promote Nepal’s tourism and strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Kailash Raj Pokharel, the Nepali ambassador to Australia, is the chief guest of the festival. A part from that, NRNA coordinator Hari Khadka has informed that Pakistan, Bangladesh, India and other South Asian countries will participate in the grand ambassadorial embassies.
In order to make the program successful, the tourism board from Nepal has provided Nepali flags, maps and tourism promotion materials. The festival is presented by Blueberry Real Estate.
