Nepalese from Melbourne donated more than $18 thousand for Raskot Community Hospital

A fundraising dinner to support Raskot Community Hospital was organised by My Nepal Television (MNTV) in association with Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV) and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Victoria  on 31 May 2019 at Estonian House. The fund raising programme was able to raise over $18,000 fund from Nepalese community of Victoria.

The $15 donation from the entry ticket is yet to be calculated according to MNTV.

The Raskot community hospital project is supported by Nepali journalist, Rabi Lamichhane. Lamichhane was present in the programme and the donated amount will be submitted to him for the project.

The fund was donated by Nepalese residing in Melbourne to build a community hospital in Kalikot of Nepal. Rabi Lamichhane and “Sidha Kura Janata Sanga” team had arrived at Melbourne for the fund raising programme on Friday, 31st May.

The programme was attended by students, community members and leaders along with the Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria. While addressing the programme, Lamichhane presented his future plans and also said his team is planning to develop an anti-corruption app which would act against corruption in the country.
