Newly appointed Nepali ambassador to Australia presents Letters of Credence

The newly appointed ambassador to Australia, Mahesh Raj Dahal, has presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia amid a special ceremony organized at the Government House in Canberra today.

Presenting the Letters of Credence, Dahal conveyed the best wishes on the behalf of the President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, to His Excellency David Hurley AC DSC (Retd).

Dahal had met David Hurley and shared topics on the various aspects of bilateral relations between Nepal and Australia which exist since 1960.

According to a press release by Embassy of Nepal, Canberra, Dahal during the meeting with Hurley ’emphasised on the need of further strengthening the bilateral trade, tourism and investment especially in agriculture and energy sector between the two countries.’

Dahal was welcomed with a special ceremony where Hurley wished for his successful tenure. Hurley expressed his happiness over the growing relationship between the two nations, the press release said.

The Credential presentation ceremony was attended by Chief of Protocol of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, high-ranking officials of the Australian Government and the Embassy staff.
