NSW records seven consecutive days of zero community transmission of Covid-19


Sydney, Australia:

NSW recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, its seventh consecutive day of zero community transmission.

There were three cases acquired overseas, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in NS

W since the beginning of the pandemic to 4,898. There were 11,344 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 11,343.

NSW Health has also urged people across the state to come forward for testing with even the mildest of symptoms. “High testing rates are essential to give us confidence that no cases are going undetected in the community”, NSW Health has said.
