NSW reported ten new cases of Covid-19 through to 8 p.m. Thursday night.
Of the ten cases, five were locally acquired and linked to a known case or cluster and the other five are returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine.
As per NSW Health, four of the new locally acquired cases are associated with the private health clinic cluster. There are now seven cases associated with this cluster, and investigations into its source is ongoing. The fifth case, NSW Health believes ‘is an old case case most likely acquired when the virus was circulating at low levels in South Western Sydney around August.’
Meanwhile, NSW health authorities are working with Potts Point restaurant Monopole to assess the risk to patrons and staff who may have been exposed to COVID-19 after it was confirmed an infectioous person visited the premises from 6pm to 8pm on October 4. NSW Health has also updated their list of public health alerts, and have appealed residents to get themselves tested if they were around these places, or are experiencing any symptoms:

- Train from Artarmon at 23:18 arriving Central 23:48 on 5th October
- Bus replacement from Central at 23:48 arriving Strathfield 00:15 on 5th October.
- Train from Strathfield at 00:15 arriving Parramatta 00:45 on 5th October
- Bus 550 from Epping Station, Beecroft Rd, Stand D at 17:08 to Smith St after Phillip St, Parramatta 17:41 on 6th October
- Train from Moss Vale 04:52 arriving Liverpool 07:09 on 6th October
- Train from Liverpool 16:58 arriving Moss Vale 19:12 on 6th October
- Train from Moss Vale 04:51 arriving Liverpool 07:08 on 7th October
- Train from Campbelltown 13:31 arriving Moss Vale 15:50 on 7th October
