Presenting the “Letters of Credence” by Ambassador Pokheral


Melbourne, Australia – The Ambassador of Nepal to Australia His Excellency Kailash Raj Pokhrel has submitted the “Letters of Credence” to the Governor General of Australia David Hurley today.

Newly appointed Ambassador Pokharel presented his certificate of rank at a special event held at the government residence in the capital, Canberra. On that occasion, Governor General David congratulated Ambassador Pokharel and said that Australia’s support for the development of Nepal will continue in the future, with the expectation that the mutual relationship between Australia and Nepal will be strengthened during his tenure.

Ambassador Pokharel conveyed the greetings of the President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari and the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to the continuation of the partnership between Nepal and Australia and to reach a new height in the relationship between the two countries.


In the event, Ambassador Pokharel was honored with a guard of honor and the national flag was hoisted and the national anthem was played. Pokharel, who was appointed as Australia’s ambassador by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers last June 12, arrived in Australia on Monday this week.
