Kathmandu – The Royal Greenhill Institute of Technology (RGIT), a leading vocational and technical institute headquarted in Melbourne, Australia with an additional campus in Hobart, Tasmania has succesfully conducted a one day interactive program with its education partners in Nepal. The program was held at the Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu on Friday, 6th May, 2022, and met with enthusiasm by attending partners.

The interactive program was helped with the motto of educating and empowering prospective international students who wish to pursue their higher education in Australia. Nepalese students reach out to several education consultants in Nepal not only for an informed choice of their availability on courses and institutes, but also as someone who will be able to guide them as they get used to a student life in Australia – therefore it is important educational consultants are equipped with the right information. Through the interactive program, RGIT Australia informed educational consultants about the provisions of Australia, which in turn will be shared with prospective international students.

Founder, CEO and Director of RGIT Australia Mr Chandra Yonzon said that the main objective of the program was to educate students from Nepal about the life in Australia – so as once they reach Australia, they would not have to suffer.

“Students come with several dreams while arriving in Australia – however, because of lack of information, they have to suffer, sometimes very severely which could lead to their visa cancellation. Many education consultants aren’t aware of the legal provisions in Australia – right from making a correct application to understanding the provisions to maintain their visa status in Australia. We hope to change that, in a bid to change our students’ lives”, Mr Chandra Yonzon, Founder and CEO of RGIT Australia shared, voicing a deep concern for newly arrived international students in Australia.

The event was attended by representatives of 50 different educational institutions in Kathmandu. Rabi Yonzon, Managing Director of the RGIT Australia, further clarified upon the educational provisions and the conditions in Australia.

During the interactive program, representatives of education organizations asked several questions to which CEO and the Managing Director Mr Yonzon responded to with the correct answers.

Prakash Pandey, President of Education Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) who was also the chief guest to the program expressed his commitment to help students going to Australia from Nepal become more knowledgeable in the legal, economic, and social aspects to enjoy a well balanced, hassle free Australian international student life.
