Melbourne – The Nepali community has been left grieving by the untimely death of Rojan Paudel from Myanglung, Terhathum, in a road accident in Australia.
Twenty-seven-year-old Rojan, who had come to Australia three years ago carrying the dream of higher education, had his life tragically cut short by a speeding car.
While crossing the road in Boronia, Melbourne, he was hit by a high-speed vehicle. According to data released by Victoria Police, nine people lost their lives in accidents within a 72-hour period that week, and Rojan was one of them.
His father Sabha Paudel and mother Parvati Sanu Dangi had been nurturing the dream of a bright future for their son for the past three years. Rojan had been successfully managing his studies, work, and responsibilities of life in Melbourne. But the cruel twist of fate shattered everything.
After Victoria-based Honorary Consul Nirajan Gauli confirmed the death of a Nepali national through social media, a wave of grief swept through the Nepali community. According to Gauli, coordination is ongoing with his family.
During this difficult time, his brother, who resides in Victoria, has launched a GoFundMe campaign. The aim is to cover funeral expenses and provide financial support to the bereaved family.
