A gas leak has been reported in Sydney Opera House this afternoon. More than 500 people have been evacuated from the Opera House including surrounding areas and restaurants.
Fire and Rescue NSW stated that they are on the scene and they have been monitoring atmosphere for gas levels.
The rescue team were in the scene at around 3:45pm. According to the reports, Macquarie Street has been closed at Bridge Street. Live traffic Sydney has advised to use Albert Street instead.
