Tandav Events to organise ‘Online Music Festival’ from Australia

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all – the degree may vary, but it has rearely spared anyone. Similarly, musicians and others associated with the musical industry too have been severely affected.

However, as time passes, and we accept the new-reality, staying true to human nature, we continue to adapt. Adapting to the new normal, and to provide a space for musical artists to pursue their aspirations, Tandav Events has organised an Online Music Festival 2020.

Incorporating Nepali musical talents based in Australia and Nepal, the music festival is scheduled to go live on 12th November, 2020 (06:00 pm AEST).

The lineup features 6 power packed performances by:

  1. Prasnasunya (Popular local band)
  2. Yogesh Regmi (Kush Band Nepal)
  3. Rohit Poudel (Acrolysis, Moksh/Solo Performance)
  4. Sunny Tuladhar from the popular band ‘Jindabaad’ and luthier of ST custom guitars
  5. Rajan Shrestha from the band ‘Jindabaad’ who goes with the stagename ‘Phatcowlee’ and
  6. Sensimillia (Perth).

Labij Manandhar, who is a member of the organising committee speaking on the need and the importance of the online music festival has said that “The pandemic, it seems like is going to stick around for a while. We therefore have to look for solutions to keep the music industry alive, and to allow musicians to practice their talents. Thus, we came up with the idea of an Online Music Festival.”

Tandav Events was formed in July 2020 – by a group of people who have diverse experience and interest in music. Their initiative has been supported by Universal Thought Consult (UTC).

Nepalese Musicians in Australia, a Facebook group whose goal is to unite and promote all artists has been organising a ‘Rock from home concert’ where every day for almost 2 month various artists performed live from their home.
