The number of Nepalis living in Australia is An increase of 123.7 percent


Kathmandu – The number of Nepalis in Australia has more than doubled in the last five years. From 2016 to 2021, the number of Nepalis in Australia has increased by 123.7 percent. According to the partial data of the national census conducted in Australia in 2021, the number of Nepalis living in Australia has reached around 1,22,506.
According to the latest census, Indians are the largest group of immigrants living in Australia. India has increased its numbers behind China and New Zealand. In the midst of the census, about 220,000 Indian were born in Australia.
For the first time in Australia, more than 50 per cent of the population was born abroad or immigrated. In addition, Australia has welcomed 1,020,007 people to its country since 2019, according to the figures.
