Victoria prepares to allow international students to return


Melbourne, Australia. The Australian state of Victoria is preparing to allow international students to return. Victoria is preparing to resume the process, which was halted last year due to the corona virus epidemic. Victoria has sent a statement to the Commonwealth for approval of the plan under the Student Arrival Plan. According to the plan, international students will be admitted to Australia safely from 2022. In the first phase, according to the nature of the students’ studies, 120 places will be given to the universities of Victoria every week. The first priority is to study health sciences and post graduate students.Students going to Australia are required to stay in quarantine as prescribed by Victoria. Universities will also provide financial assistance to those with student visas to stay in quarantine. Similarly, in the second phase, more places are being prepared than the first. In the second phase, it is planned to increase the quota of students and open it to private educational counselors and primary level students who have taken English language classes. International students have made significant contributions to Victoria’s education. Even now, there are more than 75,000 students studying in more than 100 countries. As many as 47,000 students have been denied access to Australia due to the border closure. In Victoria, international education has contributed equally to employment. Prior to the Corona epidemic, international education services contributed about 13.7 billion to the economy.
