Victoria recorded 43 new cases in the last 24 hours leading to Friday, 11th September, 2020. The state also recorded nine new deaths – a woman in her 50s, a woman in her 70s, three men in their 80s and four women in their 90s. With this, Victoria’s death tally owing to Covid-19 has reached 710 deaths.

As per the government, regional Victoria too recorded 6 new cases of Covid-19 overnight.

Meanwhile Health Minister Jenny Mikakos asked Victorians not to put off seeking medical care.

“It’s important that whilst we remain vigilant against coronavirus, that we don’t neglect our other health needs. My health services are reporting that there are declining and concerning attendances at our emergency departments, and this does suggest that people are putting off seeking urgent and important medical care that could make that critical difference to their life”, she said.
