Victoria has recorded three new cases of Covid-19 on Friday, 19th February, 2021 – a day after the end of the five day snap lockdown. All three new cases are linked to the Holiday Inn outbreak, of which two are from the same household.

An adult and a child who were residents of the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport quarantine hotel have tested positive, and the other, a secondary contact linked to the outbreak has tested positive. All three were isolating in home quarantine when infectious.

Victoria’s Health Department has said the three new cases were already identified as close contacts earlier, and have been quarantining at home since.
