Yes Study World and Gurkhas Fashion have jointly handed over new football jerseys to Marpha Football Club, Hobart amidst an official ceremony.
Speaking in the program, the club’s manager, Bishal Subba thanked the sponsors, and said they were inspired by the joint action of the two organisations towards supporting the club’s journey. Subba also reflected on the club’s early days, and said with the support of the two organisations, the club would be able to succesfully achieve many more milestones. Also Pramod Shah, Secretary of the Club, said he was impressed with the club’s performance, and that increased support meant increased motivation to the players.
Khagendra Satyal of Yes Study World said their organisation was happy to extend support to the football club. “More than financial help, we are happy to morally support the players – Marpha Football Club is an integral part of Tasmania’s multicultural society, and we will continue our support in the years to come”, he added.
Similarly, Umesh Sunchauri of Gurkhas Fashion too expressed great pleasure in their ability to contribute towards the club’s progress. “For us, it gives us immense pride to be able to support anything Nepali – for example, the apparel we sell are from Nepal. Similarly, supporting this club too means the same thing to us”, he said.
Team Captain Sudip Chamling Rai thanked the sponsors for their support, and said his team was also focusing on providing medical services to players in case of accidental injuries.
Lastly, Marpha Football Club’s President, Prem Humagain thanked the sponsors, and expressed great faith in the team’s ability to perform in their upcoming tournaments.
Similarly, Marpha FC’s advisor Rabin Poudel, and Shree Adhikari from Gurkhas Fashion also expressed a few words in support of the team.
