A series of free training sessions targeted to international students in Victoria is planned in Melbourne. The Student Assist Programs Victoria includes various information sessions leading to workshops. The program is collectively organized by Non Resident Nepali Association of Victoria (NRNA), Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV) and Consulate General of Nepal in Victoria.
The first day of the program starts on 17 February with student induction program. The induction focuses on general information about Melbourne, road and water safety, accommodation and job search. The second session on 24 February provides introduction to coffee and tea making. Likewise, on 3 March students can learn basic waiting skills, followed by resume writing and interview skills session on 10 March. The assist program ends on 23 March with awareness program related to gambling, tenancy and work rights.
The program is supposed to provide Nepalese students with guidelines and basic skills to find jobs and internships in Australia.
