One of Nepal's most celebrated singers, Deep Shrestha, is returning to Australia for what organisers describe as his farewell Australian tour, culminating in "The Final Chapter"—his potentially final historic performance in Melbourne.
Organised by Mahaguthi with support from the Nepali Society of Victoria Australia, the Melbourne concert will take place on Saturday, 25 July 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Basantapur Square, Glenroy. The concert will also feature performances by several talented local Nepali musicians from Melbourne, who will accompany Deep Shrestha on stage throughout the evening. Their participation is expected to make the farewell concert even more memorable, celebrating both the legendary singer's musical legacy and the vibrant Nepali music community in Australia.
Deep Shrestha is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Nepali music, with a career spanning more than five decades. His timeless songs, including classics such as Ma Pathar Ko Devata Haina, Biteka Kura Le, and Kati Kamjor Rahecha Bhagyako Rekha, continue to inspire generations of Nepali music lovers.
This farewell visit follows his previous Australian concert tour, during which he performed to enthusiastic audiences across several Australian cities, reconnecting with the Nepali diaspora through an evening of nostalgic melodies and evergreen hits. The overwhelming response from fans made his return highly anticipated, with this year's tour now expected to be his last in Australia.
The Melbourne concert will feature Deep Shrestha alongside his full musical team, giving audiences a final opportunity to experience the legendary singer perform live.
General admission tickets are $80, including one complimentary drink, while VIP booth tickets are $120, including one drink and one entrée. Tickets for children aged 10–17 years are $30, and children under 10 years can attend free.
Organisers are encouraging the Nepali community across Victoria to be part of this historic farewell concert, celebrating the remarkable musical legacy of one of Nepal's most beloved artists.
