Prakash’s release from today


Prakash premiered in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Earlier, its world premiere was held in Jumla on Sunday.

Shot entirely in Jumla, the film is scheduled to be released across the country on Friday.

Journalists and artists including actors Deepa Shree Niraula, Aryan Sigdel, Namrata Shrestha, Divya Dev, Akash Adhikari, Santosh Sen, Diya Maskey, Pradeep Khadka, Khagendra Lamichhane, and others enjoyed the premiere show of the film.

Most of the artists who attended the premiere responded that the plot of the film touched their hearts.

Responding to the questions of journalists, actors, and directors Deepa Shree Niraula said that she was impressed by the performance of its actors.

As the movie raises the issue of how innocent people have been victimized due to political anomalies in the country, Niraula urged the leaders to watch the film.

Actress Namrata Shrestha said that the film looked organic. She also praised the acting of its artists.

Directed by Dinesh Raut, the movie was shot in Tirkhu village of Jumla, taking some local actors.

Pradeep Khadka, Deeya Maskey, and Renu Yogi have done the lead roles in the 127-minute film, which narrates the story of the struggles of a young man from Jumla who has a dream to become a teacher.

Other artists of the movie include Prakash Ghimire, Rajan Khatiwada, Amjad Prawej, Dev Kumar Shrestha, Hum B.C, Prasant Shrestha, Govinda Sunar, Pabitra Khadka, Lokendra Lekhak, Niraj Panthi, Dhanraj Sunar.

This film also portrayed Jumla’s language, culture, lifestyle, and customs. Produced by Mahendra Adhikari, the cinematography of the film has directed by Rajesh Shrestha while Jeevan Thapa has edited the film.
