A total of 188,000 doses of Moderna vaccine against COVID-19 provided under the COVAX facility is arriving today.
Bade Bahadur Thapa, senior pharmacist officer at the Department of Health Services (DoHS), said that 180,000 doses of Moderna will arrive today. Nepal is procuring the Moderna vaccine for the first time.
The vaccine is recommended to people aged 12-18 years, however, it is still to be administered to when and which age group will be vaccinated.
Moderna vaccine needs to be stored at 15-25 degrees Celsius.
