A 19-year-old student who returned from France has tested positive for coronavirus. She is currently undergoing treatment at Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital in Teku, according to Health Ministry spokesman Bikash Devkota.
The 19-year-old female was studying in France and Devkota said some of the people who came in contact with her are also being monitored.
She arrived in Nepal from France via Doha, Qatar on March 17.
Devkota, through an urgent press conference at 12:30 pm today, informed that coronavirus infection has been confirmed in the young woman who came to Nepal via Qatar from France.
The government has also said they have begun contact tracing and are reaching out to the people she has been in touch with. Meanwhile, if you know anyone who has flown into Nepal via Qatar on the March 17 Flight to reach out to concerned authorities.
