A total of 269 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours across the country.
In 1,732 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 180 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Wednesday.
Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 89 people in 1,825 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.
Currently, there are 3,158 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 154 are admitted to institutional isolation while 3,004 patients are placed in home isolation. Of the total cases in institutional isolation, 46 are in ICU, and seven are on ventilator support, according to the MoHP.
Meanwhile, 215 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
One fatality related to COVID-19 was recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP.
