700 tourists rescued in Nepal

Some 700 tourists stranded after a snowfall at Kalinchowk of Dolakha district in Nepal have been rescued by the police persons.
A joint team of Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force rescued nearly 120 tourists with the use of vehicles, while others were taken to safe places all on foot. The tourists who reached Kalinchowk to worship at Kalinchowk Bhagawati Temple were stranded after sudden snowfall since Saturday evening.
The 22-member rescue team led by police inspector Madhav Prasad Kafle brought the tourists stuck on the mid way to safer places. The rescue was continuous till Sunday evening.
