Amid talks of implementation of time card system for the speedy delivery of government service, the No-objection Certificate (NOC) Section under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) has claimed that the students intending to study abroad now will have to wait no more than 40 minutes to get NOC letter.
Claiming that the service delivery has been made agile and fast, the branch informed that the students will not have to wait for long hours to get the permits from now on.
Similarly, the department has said now it will proceed with the processing based on the documents uploaded online and the applicants will no longer need to submit a hard copy of any documents such as offer letter, transcript, citizenship and so on.
Meanwhile, differently-abled people, senior citizens, pregnant women, and those who have to pay college fees urgently are prioritized during service delivery.
With hopes of better education, opportunities and exposure many Nepali students opt for studying in foreign nations.
According to MoEST, 112,528 students, headed for 80 countries, acquired NOC letters in the fiscal year 2021/22.
In the first five months of the current fiscal year, more than 40,000 Nepali students obtained NOC letters to study abroad while the government has collected around NRs. 81 million in revenue from those students.
