Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has said the ruling parties formed the electoral alliance for the protection of the constitution achieved with people’s struggle and sacrifice.
PM Deuba said it while addressing a joint program of the cadres and leaders of the left-democratic alliance here today. The ruling alliance is for protecting and implementing the constitution which is inclusive and has the participation of all classes. “The candidates of the ruling alliance must be ensured victory for the development and change in the country,” PM Deuba said, expressing hope that the same alliance would form the government after November 20 election.
On the occasion, the Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said although the election is a normal event, the election this time bears special significance. He also reminded that the alliance was formed with a special condition for the protection of the constitution. He urged the cadres of the ruling parties to honestly vote for the alliance candidates for good governance and prosperity in the country.
CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal argued that the alliance was made to seize the leadership from the wrong person. “We’re resolved for unity in alliance,” he said, urging for the alliance cadres to be honest and vote for the alliance candidates.
Moreover, the senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ramchandra Poudel, also reminded that the alliance was made for the protection of the constitution and democratic system. The alliance candidates must be ensured victory to realize economic prosperity in the country.
The central leader of the Nepali Congress, Krishna Sitaula, underscored that unity and cooperation among political parties are imperative to implement the constitution effectively.
Another central member of the NC, Dr. Sekhar Koirala, also reiterated that alliance is essential for good governance, democracy, and prosperity. (RSS)
