Senior leader of the Nepali Congress, Ram Chandra Poudel, has said the ruling alliance was necessary for the country’s peace, stability and good governance.
During a discussion with editors in the capital on Monday, he opined that taking ahead the country towards the path of progress and prosperity by strengthening relations with the neighbouring countries and powerful nations is the need of the hour. The NC senior leader stressed that the political parties and leaders should pay attention to good governance and development.
He further said that a person with morally clean character and conduct is necessary to develop the nation, saying he has not done the politics of giving and take. “I still want to do more for the sake of the nation. So I want to be a candidate in the coming election”, he mentioned.
NC senior leader Poudel pointed out the need of guiding the party to the election by correcting the weaknesses further strengthening the party through ideology and activities. “We are aware of the interest and leadership of the new generation. The party will face difficulty if there will be no right person in right place in course of nomination.”
Saying the new and old generations should join hands to develop the country, leader Poudel expressed the view that leaders should be free from the trend of making comments just for the sake of popularity.
