NRT hold Himalayan
New Road Team (NRT) and Himalayan Sherpa Club played a goalless draw in the first match today.

After a goalless draw, NRT remains at the seventh spot with 14 points and Himalayan stands at eighth place with 10 points from 10 matches they have played.

Himalayan failed to take a lead in the 25th minute after NRT Keeper Ajit Prajapati warded off a 25-yard distance free-kick off Captain Bishwas Shrestha.

Himalayan again squandered a chance in the 58th minute after Bishan Gurung’s strike from the area was denied by Keeper Prajapati.

Prajapati was the saviour for NRT as he blocked the powerful strike off Himalayan’s Tri Dev Gurung in the dying minute of the match.
Himalayan’s Coach Yugal Kishore Rai was pleased to share a point against NRT. “Earning one point is a huge relief for us.

We have to perform an attacking game today but we failed on it. However, I am happy with the performance of my boys.”

NRT Coach Raju Kaji Shakya said the injuries hit the performance of his boys. “Because of the injuries and the long gap my players are unable to play to their par.”
