The Election Commission Monday interacted with the artistes in Kathmandu. Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya discussed issues of election in the presence of leading artistes of the country.
In the programme, Chief Commissioner Thapaliya urged the artistes to help in the election as responsible citizens.
Since the artists are the jewels of the nation, the common people have a special affection for them, and even a small help from the artists will be a big contribution to the promotion of the election.
Thapaliya gave a presentation on voting education, voting method, and code of conduct to the artistes along with election-related interaction.
Answering the questions of the artistes, Commissioner Thapaliya said, “You can say ‘No, Not Again’ in a healthy manner, and you can say ‘Once Again’ if you see good candidates.”
The artistes also accused the Election Commission of being slow in campaigning and not being able to address the needs of the voters even though the election was approaching nearer.
Accepting the allegations, Commissioner Thapaliya promised help the voters without delay. The artistes have also expressed their commitment to fully support the Election Commission.
The artistes expressed their commitment to responsible voters and requested the common people to vote on their behalf.
