Ayodhyapuri Sees Musical Recitation Of ‘Ramcharitmanas’

Recital of Sundar Kanda of ‘Nepali Ramcharitmanas’ has been done at Ayodhyapuri in Madi municipality of Chitwan district.

The Ayodhya Study, Research and Management Committee, Madi and Shreeram Janaki Research and Study Team (Shree Ram Sanstha) America jointly organized the recital programme on Tuesday.

It may be noted that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had sent a best wishes message for the success of the programme. Prime Minister Oli expressed his belief that the lyrical recitation of Sundar Kanda of ‘Nepali Ramcharitmanas’ would help in the campaign of constructing Ramdham in Ayodhyapuri.

“I am confident that the recitation programme would contribute to the campaign of developing Ramdham in Madi Ayodhyapuri”, reads the message of the prime minister.

PM Oli further said that the task of constructing Ramdham in Ayodhyapuri has been taken ahead based on the geographical and archeological study.

The Ramdham development would also contribute to the promotion of tourism and preservation of ancient civilization in Madi, the PM noted.

The Ramcharitmanas – a Hindu scripture authored by Goswami Tulasidas in the 16th Century was literally translated into Nepali by Tulsiram Sharma in Sama style and Sama verse.

The one daylong recitation of Sundar Khanda of the same scripture is expected to develop religious tolerance and preserve art and culture, said Madi municipality mayor Thakur Prasad Dhakal.

The Harihar Sanyas Ashram Devghat had brought into limelight the scripture namely ‘Nepali Ramcharitmanas’, which has substantially drawn attention of readers and researchers from Nepal, India and beyond.
