Bill related to Animal Health passed with majority


Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has passed the ‘Bill Related to Animal Health and Livestock Services Council-2079 BS’ with the majority.

Earlier in the meeting, 14 lawmakers had put forth their views while taking part in deliberations on the bill.

Responding to queries raised on the bill, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mrigendra Kumar Singh, said paramedical assistants have been doing the work of veterinary doctors in villages and the bill was brought to make their profession dignified and systematic.

Minister Singh added that technical human resources providing such service from the government level are around 3,800 and 12,000 from the private sector. (RSS)
