Biplav enforced ‘Nepal Bandha’ – two vehicles torched, two government offices bombed

Netra Bikram Chand led Communist Party of Nepal (Biplab) has called for a nationwide strike – vehicular movement has been severely affected across the nation. Many national highways are completely shut, whereas in Kathmandu, the number of public and private vehicles plying the streets are considerably less.

Makwanpur: Two vehicles torched

Cadres of Netra-Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal torched two vehicles in Makawanpur on Tuesday night as part of a nation-wide banda called by the group.

A car (Ba 14 Cha 8234) and a truck (Ba 5 Kha 1739) were destroyed completely by the fire, said Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Singh. Likewise, a bomb disposal team of Nepal Army defused suspicious materials planted in some parts of Makawanpur district, said the police.

Nuwakot: Ward Office bombed

An explosion has damaged a ward office in Kakani Rural Municipality, Nuwakot. No casualties reported, whereas the office is reported to have been extensively damaged.

Rautahat: Ward Office bombed

Another explosion in Chandrapur municipality, Rautahat has resulted in immense property damages. No casualties reported.
