A stream of water falls from the tall cliff face upon a land surrounded by green forests where the melodious songs of birds fill the air. The Chhyot Chhyot Waterfall in Dolakha is truly a gift of nature.
Despite being located in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, the waterfall is named after the place Chhyot Chhyot in Lamabagar, Bigu Rural Municipality–1 because that is from where people can most easily observe it.
As the waterfall falls right next to the road, people driving by take a moment to stop and appreciate its beauty. Some also take selfies and make TikTok videos. Of late, the area has been attracting many domestic and foreign tourists too, the locals claimed.
Tourist Pushkar Adhikari said that many visitors came via Charikot to enjoy the environment. He also felt that the area would become more popular if the local government promoted it better.
Another tourist Navaraj Aryal said that he felt specially happy when he came here. However, he complained that the road was not good.
“The authorities should repair the road immediately,” Aryal said. “This is a mesmerising place that everyone should come and visit at least once. But first, the road needs to be improved.”
