Chinese President Xi Jinping is finally confirmed to be paying a state visit to the country on October 12 and 13 upon a friendly invitation of his counterpart President Bidya Devi Bhandari, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Releasing a press release today, MOFA declared the date of President Xi’s state visit to Nepal. This is the first visit of a Chinese President to Nepal.
“At the friendly invitation of President of Nepal, Right Honourable Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, the President of the People’s Republic of China His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping is paying a state visit to Nepal on 12 and 13 October 2019.” MOFA said in the PR.
President Xi will be welcomed with a Banquet in honor of him along with Chinese delegation team.
He is informed to hold delegation level official talks with Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli.
Furthermore, at the end of the visit, both countries Nepal and China will witness ‘the signing of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding.’
