The National Disaster Risk Reduction Centre (NDRC) has provided communications equipment to the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) under the Ministry of Home Affairs to further strengthen the centre.

The communication tools amounting to over Rs 1.8 million were provided under the Asian Disasters Preparedness Centre’s (ADPC) COVID-19 project.

ADPC’s representatives Man Bahadur Thapa handed the in-kind support to the chief of the Disaster and Conflict Management Division and joint-secretary Humkala Pandey amid a programme here today.

Joint-secretary Pandey expressed her gratitude for the in-kind support and expressed her confidence that the equipment would come in handy for the day-to-day operation of the Centre.

Similarly, ADCP’s representatives Thapa shared that the support was in accordance with the Centre’s objectives to enhance the capacity of the Centre. He pledged more support for the Centre in future.

NDRC’s executive director Shyam Sundar Gyawali shed light on the programmes run by the Centre.
