COVID-19: Daily update from Ministry of Health and Population

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 64,485 (PCR: 13,640 + RDT: 50,845)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 1,382

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 50,845 (RDT Started in every districts) (Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 106

Inside Valley: 1

Outside valley: 105 (On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going

No. of cases: 75 (58 active, 17 recovery)

New cases: No new cases

All cases normal
