COVID-19: MoHP Daily Update; No. of cases: 45 (38 active, 7 recovery)

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 40,431 ( PCR: 9,011 + Rapid Test: 31,420)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 3,736

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 31,420

(RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 95

Inside Valley: 3

Outside valley: 92

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going
