COVID-19: MoHP daily update; Second person recovered from coronavirus infection

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 24,253 ( PCR: 8,290 + Rapid Test: 19,454)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 4,822

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 19,454

(RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 117

Inside Valley: 5

Outside valley: 112

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going

No. of cases: 30 (28 active, 2 recovery)
