COVID-19: MoHP daily updates; Total cases: 278 (242 active, 36 recovery)

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 92,440(PCR: 26,691 + RDT: 65,749)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 5,243

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 59,627 (RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 320

Inside Valley: 32

Outside valley: 288

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going

No. of cases: 278 (242 active, 36 recovery)
