COVID-19: MoHP Daily Updates; Total cases: 51 (35 active, 16 recovery)

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 51,367 ( PCR: 9,931 + Rapid Test: 41,436)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 2,096

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 41,436

(RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 110

Inside Valley: 6

Outside valley: 104

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going
