COVID-19: MoHP updates; 47 new cases in Banke – total cases: 357

Dr. Bikash Devkota, Speaker for the Ministry of Health and Population appeared on Facebook Live for the day’s media briefing. Here are a few updates:

Total no. of tests done in Nepal: 100,283 (PCR: 30,723 + RDT: 69,560)

No. of tests in last 24 hours: 4,349

Tests outside Kathmandu: Dharan, Pokhara, Hetauda, Janakpur, Surkhet, Dhangadi, Dhulikhel, Bharatpur, Nepalgunj, Bhairawaha (PCR Tests)

Rapid Diagnostic Tests: 67,769 (RDT Started in every districts)

(Swab samples of individuals who have tested positive in RDT is sent for PCR test )

No. of people in isolation: 412

Inside Valley: 26

Outside valley: 386

(On suspicion of coronavirus, tests either yet to be done, or results are awaited)

Contact Tracing: On going

No. of cases: 357

Active cases: 319

Recovery: 36

Death: 2

New cases: 66

All cases normal
