CPN (Maoist Center) National Conference: Representatives To Arrange For Food, Accomodation Themselves


Representatives to the National Conference of the CPN (Maoist Center) are asked to arrange for food and accommodation by themselves.

The CPN (Maoist Center) is holding its National Conference on Dec 26-28 in Kathmandu as per the decision made by the party’s standing committee meeting held on Dec 2-3.

Some 1500 representatives are expected to participate in the conference. The Maoist Center has decided to elect 30 representatives from each of the provinces which equals 1500 organised members for a representative.

According to an internal circular issued by CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, the province has to nominate at least a person with a disability and a person wounded during the people’s war as the national conference representatives. Every central department will elect three representatives for the conference while 5 per cent representatives will be nominated by the central office of the party.

A sum of Rs. 2,000 has been fixed as the fee for the organiser and representatives of the conference. All the management-related issues of the representatives will be looked after by the province from which the representatives have been nominated, according to the circulation.

The CPN (Maoist Center) has already held the party’s Ward Level and Local Level conferences while the provincial conference is set for December 11.
