CPN (Maoist Center) has written to Election Commission, Nepal, to remove 14 local level people’s representatives who have changed their political party, CPN (Maoist Center), from their positions.
According to Lilamani Pokharel, standing committee member of the Maoist Center, the party had sent a similar letter to the EC.
At that time the Central Committee had delegated the power to party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to write the letter to EC, but the EC asked us again to follow up with decision of the CC meeting, and this morning we held the CC meeting and took decision accordingly, said Pokharel.
Dev Gurung, standing committee member of the party, also confirmed that the CC meeting held this morning decided to write to the EC to remove the people’s representatives who won election from CPN (Maoist Center) but deserted the party afterwards from their positions.
He said the letters sent to EC previously are just pending, and added that many people’s representatives from the party in Province 2 have changed their party.
