Nepali singer Dibesh Pokhrel, also known as Arthur Gunn, who is competing in the new edition of the American Idol, has managed to make it to top 7.
He was the first runner-up in last year’s popular signing reality show American Idol.
Arthur Gunn joined the competition two weeks ago, singing “Iris”.
His performance was openly praised by judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. The deadline for voting was two weeks until April 26. Dibesh had made it to the top 10, surpassing the 10 contestants who voted last year.
Out of the 10 contestants who competed last year, one of the contestants who got the most votes was selected by the team of the ‘American Idol’.
On Sunday, 10 competed for another round, and Dibesh managed to make a place in the top 7 when three contestants exited.
Arthur thanked all those who voted for him and said that it was beyond the wildest dream to be on the American Idol stage again.
